We will be happy to answer your questions about implantology!

If a gap between teeth is not supplemented by a tooth replacement, e.g. a dental implant, this can lead to undesirable changes in facial features and premature wrinkling. If there is a remaining tooth gap in the dentition, the jawbone recedes because the support is no longer provided by the missing tooth root.

In dentistry, a dental implant is an artificial tooth root. These implants in the form of screws, usually made of titanium and therefore well tolerated by most, are inserted into the jawbone and must then first heal and grow in.

The actual dental prosthesis (e.g. crowns, bridges or complete dentures) is then placed on this implant. A stable hold, natural esthetics and preservation of the jawbone are just a few of the advantages that modern implantology brings.

In addition, neighboring teeth are not affected because they do not have to be ground down and adapted to the shape of the implant.
